Horror Noir was absolutely my favorite film project as a costume designer. This dynamic series showcases stories of Black horror from Black directors and screenwriters. Horror Noire features six new and adapted narratives presented together as a two-hour film by
Tananarive Due, Steven Barnes, Victor LaValle, Shernold Edwards, Al Letson and Ezra C. Daniels.
Featuring an impressive set of T. I., Teyana Taylor, Mike Epps, Loretta Divine, D.C. Youngfly, and Queen Latifah; The Trap™ zooms into the financial struggles of black entrepreneurship. I worked closely with cast and crew to create costumes that matched each carefully decorated scene. I had fun with this one.
A truly magnificent film which includes La La Anthony, Tatiana Ali, Jay Ellis as cast, November rule™ addresses the issues of romance, broken relationships and reconciliation. I contributed to the movie’s production in my capacity as costume designer. It was a wonderful experience.
This American comedy-drama TV series, created by Stacy A. Littlejohn and produced by Queen Latifah, was my first gig as a costume designer. I worked behind-the-scenes, dropping off dresses during the Pilot episode. As my fashion work garnered attention within cast and crew, I worked my way up to head costume designer in season 4 of the now-cancelled Single Ladies™.
